Hello SW2 users,
In our efforts to continually improve SW2, we plan to release an application update on the following date:
August 21st, 2024 @ 3:30am Mountain Time
This release will address the following issues:
Frontend Changes:
- Custom Inspection Intervals – Administration Page
- Inspection Intervals have been updated to be created, managed and assigned by an Admin user role.
- From the Administration page you can:
- Create, Edit, Delete Inspection Intervals
- Include an Interval Code
- Code is for internal client use and is optional.
- Choose to include or exclude weekends and US Federal Holidays when determining next routine inspection due date.
- When excluded, Admin user role can also choose to have the next routine inspection be due Before or After weekend or holiday days.
- Once an inspection interval is created the Admin user will need to assign that interval to the appropriate division with the Divisions page.
- Intervals that have been assigned to a specific divisions will appear in the edit project pop up and allowed for selection by users with edit project permissions.
- Project Activity Report
- A new report type has been added to the platform called Project Activity Report. This report displays the following activity types that has occurred to/within each project during a selected time frame.
- START – this report will log when a project start which is defined as the date the first inspection was submitted
- CHANGE – This report log if changes were made to any of the following:
- Change in Client
- Change in Project Name
- Change in Project Type
- Change in Inspection Interval
- STOP – This report will log when a project stops. A stop log is triggered when either a Final inspection type is submitted OR if a project is Archived. Once a stop has been logged for a project the system will not longer track changes made within that project.
- A new report type has been added to the platform called Project Activity Report. This report displays the following activity types that has occurred to/within each project during a selected time frame.
- Precipitation Log – Project Specific
- Users now have access to project specific precipitation logs that can be downloaded in both PDF and Excel formats
- Users have the option to generate both a daily and an hourly precipitation log.
- Users may choose to modify the recorded amounts for both daily and hourly precipitation totals.
- Note that if the daily value for precipitation is modified by a user the hourly precipitation breakdown will no longer be available. When a daily total is modified, the hourly breakdown will be replaced with the daily total and include a symbol indicating that this record has been user verified.
- Once a daily total is modified the hourly total breakdown cannot be recovered.
- Notes may be added next to each daily precipitation record to provide details about each storm event.
- Edit Client – Client Settings Page
- We have updated the way clients are managed. Users will no longer edit / manage clients from a pop up window and will instead have access to the Client Settings tab within each client.
- External Verification Projects
- A new feature has been add to the platform that allows users to create External Projects within SW2. These projects are used to track the due dates and submitting of inspections that take place outside of the SW2 platform. These projects still have access to:
- Project Document Storage
- Precipitation Tracking, Notifications and Log
- Site Map Editor
- Site map Log

Backend Changes:
- Inspection Complete Emails
- An issue that prevented users that have been invited to the SW2 platform, but have not completed the registration process, from receiving the inspection complete email notification has been resolved.
- Edit Notes – Site Map Editor
- An issue that prevented users from editing previously created notes within the site map editor has been resolved.
- User Login – Wrong Client/Tenant
- When a user attempts to login into the a specific clients account without the proper invitation and or association the following warning message will display:
- “This user is not associated with {Client Name} account. Please login at login.sw2.net/login”
- When a user attempts to login into the a specific clients account without the proper invitation and or association the following warning message will display:
- Team Management – Dashboard Widget
- Admin user roles will now populated in the Team Management dashboard widget.
- Invite / Add User – User Page
- If a user is sent an invite but is already associated with a different division within the same SW2 account, users will no longer receive the following error message:
- “User with email {email address} already exists in {account name}”
- Instead they will be automatically added to the division with the same account access that was previous granted upon the original invite to the SW2 platform.
- If a user is sent an invite but is already associated with a different division within the same SW2 account, users will no longer receive the following error message:
- Site Map Printing / Downloading
- An issue that prevented users from downloading site maps when Include Changelog was selected. We have optimized the call of changelog data to speed up this request / inclusion.
- Findings Report – Remarks
- An issue that was populating remarks, not associated with the selected project, appearing on the downloaded findings report has been resolved.
- Regulation Folder – Print Project Documents
- An issue that prevented files found in the regulation folder, under the project documents tab of a specific project, from printing/downloading has been resolved.
- Adding Findings to Previous Report
- An issue where if a user added a new finding to a previously submitted report, that finding would not appear on subsequent inspections has been resolved.
